Director of Programs

Purpose

The Director of Programs for Excellerate Foundation will implement prioritized foundation objectives for the identified and validated needs of our community that expand the capacity to drive systemic change in Northwest Arkansas. 

This position works with the Vice President of Programs to create and implement projects that demonstrate solutions to identified and validated regional needs.  The role is key in working with community partners and collaborators to directly impact the success of implementation plans.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Help create and drive implementation plans that both expand the service capacity for identified and validated needs within Northwest Arkansas and support Excellerate's strategic goals.
  • Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships between Excellerate and key stakeholders in the community to implement Excellerate projects and drive our strategic goals. 
  • Identify potential connections among community stakeholders that align with prioritized foundation investments.
  • Administer Excellerate’s philanthropic and fundraising activities.
  • Assist with administrative activities around board committee relations and communications.
  • Develop Programs-related communications, as needed

 

Qualifications

  • 5 years of professional work experience, with considerable time spent creating and implementing programs that delivered measurable results and impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree with work experience in a high performance culture.
  • Possesses a solutions-oriented mindset; assumes full ownership and accountability for the planning and execution of strategic projects based on the Excellerate pillars. 
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to benchmark best practices then use them to create strong outcomes for the Excellerate initiatives. 
  • Consistently resourceful with the ability to cultivate the right relationships and to find the right resources to execute outstanding programs and projects. 
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse concepts, individuals, and organizations; ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively; possess a strong team spirit while maintaining professional confidence to get things done on your own
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
