A diverse set of community stakeholders have shared with us about how racial inequity plays out in Northwest Arkansas and what the best response would be. Their unanimous response was that the most urgent short term need is mental health counseling for those who have been the most impacted by racial inequity and have had the least access to such counseling.
We brought together two leading providers with experience in this space—The Joshua Center and Eason Counseling and Associates—to provide such counseling to those in need.
Those dealing with mental health issues that are directly related to facing racial inequity and live in Benton, Madison, or Washington counties can visit www.MendingRacialPain.com for more information on the low-cost group and individual counseling services available and how to sign up.
